Living with AuDHD, an overlap of autistic and ADHD traits, can feel like moving through a world with mismatched rhythms and intensities.

Your strengths, like deep focus on passions or creative leaps, deserve celebration alongside real challenges like sensory overload or executive overwhelm.

In my neurodiversity-affirming practice, I offer tailored support to help you feel truly seen and empowered.

Why AUDHD-Affirming Counselling

Standard therapy often overlooks the unique interplay of autism and ADHD traits.

My approach honours both: sensory needs, emotional waves, hyperfocus, and impulsivity, without pathologising your wiring.

What we explore together:

  • Personalised strategies for overwhelm, focus, and self-regulation

  • Sensory-friendly tools and routines that flex with your energy

  • Identity work around masking, late diagnosis, and self-acceptance

  • Communication and relationship skills that feel authentic

  • Strength-based paths for work, daily life, and transitions

Sessions are collaborative, flexible and matching your pace.

The 10-3 Rhythm Technique

A simple, adaptable tool for momentum without burnout:

  • Focus 10 minutes on one task

  • Pause 3 minutes for movement, breath, or reset

  • Repeat, tweaking times (e.g., 5-2 for gentler starts)

You can integrate this, or similar rhythms, into sessions, using timers or apps that suit your style.

Everyday Supports

Complement counselling with gentle habits:

  • Sensory sanctuaries: dim lights, noise-cancelling, tactile comforts

  • Visual planners with colour cues for priorities

  • Grounding pauses to ease overload

  • Boundaries shared kindly with others

  • Noticing small wins to fuel motivation

These build resilience at your pace.

AUDHD counselling creates space for clarity, confidence, and unmasking. You'll gain self-understanding, practical skills, and a narrative of thriving rather than just coping.
