Affirming Therapy
Supporting all neurotypes

A gentle, inclusive space where you’re seen, not fixed.

Looking for understanding, not fitting in?
Flexible therapy for people of all neurotypes and walks of life
You might be getting through the day but feel constantly overstimulated, misunderstood, or drained from managing expectations that never quite fit who you are.
I welcome adults of all neurotypes, including people who are Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, neurotypical, or exploring how they experience the world. You don’t need to have figured it all out, or to be sure of anything, to come.
Some people I support are navigating burnout, anxiety, low mood, or relationship difficulties. Others are exploring identity, patterns that keep repeating, or wanting a space where they don’t have to explain themselves all the time.
I also sit alongside people who identify as LGBTQIA+, neuroqueer, or are exploring questions of identity, belonging, and self‑expression, as well as those in relationships involving different neurotypes who want to understand one another better.
In our sessions, we make space for you, your experiences, your environment, and what’s shaped you, without trying to fit you into a box or reduce things to symptoms.
It’s completely okay if you’re not sure whether therapy is the right step, or what exactly you’re looking for. Many people arrive feeling unsure, ashamed, or worried they’re “not bad enough” to need support. You don’t need to be in crisis to begin.
Things can feel lighter with the right support, and I’d be glad to hear from you so we can explore together whether this approach feels like a good fit for you.
Whether you’re used to feeling “too much,” “not enough,” or out of place, you’re welcome here as you are.
You might find this approach a good fit if you:
-
Are Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, gifted, or neurotypical, or exploring your neurotype.
-
Identify as LGBTQIA+ or neuroqueer and are exploring questions of identity, belonging, or self‑expression.
-
Are in relationships across neurotypes, genders, or cultures and seek mutual understanding.
-
Experience burnout, overwhelm, masking, identity confusion, or relationship difficulties.
-
Want to understand themselves more deeply, rather than just “manage symptoms.”
-
Value a gentle, relational, and non‑pathologising space.
In sessions, we tend to:
-
Move at your pace, not mine: slowing down when you need to, staying steady when things feel intense.
-
Pay attention to how your environment and expectations have shaped your experiences, rather than blaming you for struggling.
-
Notice patterns in your emotions, relationships, and sensory or social experiences, so you feel less alone with them.
Sessions usually feel:
-
Grounded and reflective, rather than rushed.
-
Collaborative: you’re the expert on your life; I’m here to walk alongside you.
-
Flexible enough to accommodate your needs (e.g., breaks, movement, or adjusting how we use the space).

Clients
I work with
say...
they experience a genuine, human connection and feel truly understood, often, for the very first time.
they feel seen and heard as they explore their identity, personal patterns, sexuality, and neurodiversity.
they feel deeply supported and genuinely cared for, even when therapy feels challenging.
I’m Sophie (she/her), a counsellor originally from France and now based in the UK. Living in different parts of the world has shaped the way I see people, relationships, and the many paths a life can take. It has also deepened my belief that there is no single way to heal, belong, or become whole.

My path into counselling has been shaped by both personal and professional experience. Over time, I have developed a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and neurodiversity-affirming approach that honours each person’s story, their context, and the pace that feels right for them.
I aim to offer a warm, attentive, and curious presence for people navigating neurodivergence, life transitions, emotional pain, grief, and relational patterns that may feel hard to shift. In our sessions, I see therapy as a collaborative space where we can explore your experiences and possibilities together, without pressure to perform, mask, or become someone you are not.
Outside the counselling room, I’m grounded by music, time in nature, stories, architecture, being around pets, and the quiet focus of a jigsaw puzzle. These parts of life remind me of the value of stillness, patience, and paying attention to the small things that help us feel more at home in ourselves.
If you are looking for a supportive, inclusive space to better understand yourself and create change that feels authentic, you are warmly welcome here.
If this feels like it might be a good fit,
the next step is simply to message me.
We can briefly explore what’s bringing you here
and see together whether working together feels right.
There’s no pressure to commit
beyond that conversation or a first session,
you can decide what, if anything, comes next.
